Wound Care – a Case Study

Category: General

A 12 year old boy was a paraplegic, after suffering a motor vehicle accident at 6 years old. He was admitted to a children’s hospital with stage IV wounds that required treatment with Clinitron bed and wound vac. The boys’ parents were very involved but could not manage wound care at home. The brave young boy was transitioned to PSC for short term stay. We were thankful that his wounds healed and he was able to be discharged after 6 weeks.
