PSC is a Proud Member of Pediatric Complex Care Association (PCCA)

Category: General

In Fall 2017, PSC Philadelphia had the privilege of hosting the 6th Annual Pediatric Complex Care Association Conference, held in downtown Philadelphia. PSC coordinated a tour of nearly 75 pediatric professionals from across the country, showcasing the Philadelphia community in East Falls. It was a wonderful opportunity to network, share the benefits of our PSC communities, and present PSC as an industry leader in terms of “from hospital to home” care for medically fragile and technology dependent children.

This year PSC is pleased to participate once again in the 8th Annual PCCA Conference. The conference brings together providers of care for children with medical complexity, including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners & Nurses, Pediatric Nursing Home Administrators, Occupational, Physical, Recreation & Respiratory Therapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists and Special Educators. It is two and a half days filled with excellent learning opportunities and valuable time to network with industry peers. Some highlights of this year’s learning objectives include 1.) Identifying values of data management in influencing quality and clinical outcomes, 2.) Recognizing what is needed for full assessment and what needs to be added to practice better care, and 3.) implementing new systems to improve care for children with medical complexity.
