Building Community, Building Hope…Strong, nurturing communities that are supportive of families can get involved and play a role in preventing child abuse and neglect and promoting child and family well-being. According to the national child welfare website link above, the Protective Factors include: Nurturing and attachment, Knowledge of parenting and child development, Parental resilience, Social connections, Concrete support for families, Social and emotional competence of children.

PSC is committed to doing its part to maximize the potential each child and family has, through recognizing and supporting these key Protective Factors.
