Therapy – Responding to Every Child’s Preferences

Category: General

The PSC therapy and programming teams pay special attention to what each child responds to, and diligently create custom recreational therapy plans, maximizing the child’s development potential. Incorporating activities, special events, field trips and outdoor fun. Traditional physical, occupational and speech therapy are all included in PSC’s therapy programs. Art, music, sensory, hand-over-hand, range-of-motion and education – are components of the various therapies available at PSC. Monthly calendars are implemented to incorporate variety, structure and seasonal themes. In addition, PSC strives to ensure the children are maximizing their use of equipment such as standers, gait trainers, picture boards, and other forms of technological therapy tools. The individual sites at PSC create various small groups for the children, so they can participate in therapies within their age and cognitive groups. These small groups help create the foundation of socialization, normalization, personal growth and learning.
