Family Support

Home is often the best place for growth and development, but home care is not always possible.  Sometimes families need additional support, time, or training.  We help make it easy for parents to visit their children, and support families through education and transition planning, including in-home evaluation and coordination of nursing.

At Pediatric Specialty Care, we value family as essential members of the care team.  Together, we are able to treat our children as individuals, continually ensuring that we are meeting their needs in a warm, loving environment.

Visiting

Parents and guardians are welcome to visit anytime…. and we mean 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Learn more about how Pediatric Specialty Care makes it easy to stay involved, participate, communicate, and visit the children in our communities.

Family Training

Pediatric Specialty Care strongly supports children transitioning home as soon as families feel ready and able.  Therefore, we have developed a strong process to help guide and prepare families for the transition. We offer training to update parents on the latest technologies, medication administration, and help with their child’s activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing, and repositioning.

Our transition planning also includes full discharge support including a pre-move visit to the home by our staff to assist with the proper physical set-up. Finally, we help to arrange in-home nursing care to ensure the safest, smoothest transition possible.  Click here to learn more about our Transition support.
