Level 1 Interventions

• Pulse Oximetry
• PRN CPT, Suctioning & Nebulizer Treatments
• Apnea Monitoring
• Medication Administration

Level 2 Interventions

• Airway Management/Monitoring
• Tracheostomy Tube
• Pulse Oximetry
• Apnea Monitoring
• CPT, Suctioning & Nebulizer Treatments
• PRN Oxygen Administration
• Seizure Management/Intervention
• May Require Non-invasive Ventilator Support (CPAP, BiPAP)
• Multiple Medication Administration
• Stoma Care
• Enteral Feeding
• Orthopedic Devices & Interventions

Level 3 Interventions

• Tracheostomy Tube
• Pulse Oximetry
• Requires Fluctuations in Oxygen Levels
• Apnea Monitoring
• Greater than every (4) hours CPT, Suctioning & Nebulizer Treatments
• Ventilator Dependent
• Multiple Medication Administration
• Stoma Care
• Significant Seizure Management
• Enteral Feeding
• Orthopedic Devices & Interventions
• Frequent Vital Signs (>BID)
• Requires Catheterization

Level 4 Interventions

Level 4 care is designated for the most clinically-demanding children in a sub-acute setting. Recent interventions include:

• A Central Line/IV Antibiotics
• TPN
• Tracheostomy
• Transplant Recipients
• Intensive Wound Care
• Increased Oxygen Requirements
• Frequent Ventilator Changes
