Each child entering a Pediatric Specialty Care community is thoroughly evaluated based on their clinical requirements, home situation, and long term goals. In developing the best care plan for each child, we take into consideration several important factors:

• Medical stability and equipment requirements
• Rehabilitation or transitional goals
• Social, spiritual, and educational needs
• Activities of daily living
• Functioning levels and any behavior issues

After evaluation, each child is matched to a Care Level that forms the basis of their Daily Care Plan, detailing required hours of skilled care and treatments.  At Pediatric Specialty Care we understand that continuity with physicians and family helps to create the best possible outcomes. That is why our staff works directly with outside facilities to maintain existing patient-physician relationships and includes families in our care planning process and recommendations.
